Barr. (Mrs) Elizabeth Idigbe - Managing Partner, PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors Mrs. Elizabeth Obiajulu Idigbe is a renowned lawyer with 28 years post call experience and reputed for her expertise in oil & gas law, wealth management, real estate and general corporate practice. She holds a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Lagos, First Degree in Law from the University of Benin and Diploma in Advertising from Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987. She is also a fellow of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Arbitrators United Kingdom Mrs. Elizabeth Idigbe is currently the Managing Partner at PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors, a fully integrated business law practice of international repute. Prior to returning to PUNUKA in November 2010, Elizabeth had a fulfilling career in the Oil & Gas industry spanning about 10 years and rose to the position of General Manager, Human Resources/Corporate Services/Company Secretariat at African Petroleum Plc (now Forte Oil). Before joining AP Plc she had a rewarding career in private legal practice and in the banking industry Lizzy as she is fondly called is an ardent believer in the development of women in general, youth and children particularly the girl child. She is also an outspoken advocate of help for the needy and believes strongly in the need to give back to the Society. It was in line with this that she was Guest Speaker at the 37th Founders’ Day Award Ceremony of the University of Benin and delivered the paper “Giving back to the Society- A Corporate Social Responsibility”. She has spoken at different fora to women and youth groups on tropical issues. She is involved with various charity works targeted at children with special needs and gifted children through her work as Executive Secretary/Trustee of PUNUKA Foundation and Trustee, Friends of Jesus Orphanage. She is also involved with social and community work through her membership of ELCA a group of professional women where she was formerly the President. The Association is currently building a skill acquisition centre in Asaba, Delta state. Presently the Vice president of Association of Ibusa Professional Women also a charity based group focused on women and the girl child. She is a devout Catholic and was the immediate past Coordinator of Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) Lekki Region. She has also held various leadership positions in the Church, formerly chairperson of the Catholic Church of Transfiguration 2005, Vice President and later President of the CWO in the same church between 2006 -2009, Trustee of the choir, former member of the church council and has continued to make herself available as God’s vessel through her positive transformation programmes, which includes empowerment of women, speeches and contributions to the less privileged in our society and humanity in general. Currently she is collaborating with the Lekki Deanery CWO Foundation on setting up a shelter in Lekki area. She has won many awards from the Lagos Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women Organisation and the National Body notable amongst these is the Ambassador of Mary award in 2012 and merit award in 2016. In recognition of her sterling contributions, Mrs. Idigbe has also won numerous awards, amongst which are: Merit Award of African Petroleum Plc 2002, University of Benin Alumni Merit Award 2004 and 2007, University of Benin Student Award for Meritorious Service to the faculty, University of Lagos Alumni Merit Award 2007, Ibusa Youth & Sports Award for contributions to Youth Empowerment, Lagos State Ministry of Education Merit Award for Service to Humanity for contribution to children with special needs on 3rd December 2008, amongst other awards/recognitions. Lizzy Idigbe is married to Chief Anthony Idigbe, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and they are blessed with four children
