HISTORY
This Association is the brain child of Dr (Mrs) Ifeoma Utomi who early in 2012 invited a few friends to her home to discuss how to contribute positively to Ibusa; particularly the lives of women and the girl child. In her words “we cannot fold our hands, do nothing to improve and contribute our own quota to the growth of Ibusa; and just seat back in Lagos and criticise. We need to be involved and help to bring about the needed changes to improve the lives of our fellow Ibusa people”. It was agreed that a group of persons who have good track records in their businesses, professions and also the interest in Ibusa be made patrons of the Association; and the Association be registered accordingly.
These patrons include the followings: Chief Chike Nwanze,Dr. Nosike Agokei, Mr. Chukuka Eseka and Mr. Lawrence Ofuokwu.
Membership was also agreed to be open to professional women either Ibusa by birth or by marriage with a minimum of NSE educational qualification.
